Good Bye, Lenin! star Daniel Brühl and Jesper Christensen play the leads, while Geraldine Chaplin takes the role of Kaminsky‘s old flame. As a German-Belgian co-production, Ich & Kaminsky is produced by Uwe Schott from X Filme Creative Pool (Cloud Atlas) and Franz Esterházy from ED Productions Sprl as well as commissioning editors Gebhard Henke (WDR) and Andreas Schreitmüller (Arte). The project received backing from Film-und Medienstiftung NRW, the German Federal Film Fund (DFFF), German Federal Film Board (FFA), Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Eurimages and MEDIA.
